High Rise Building, Water Booster Pump Fail

The Federal Reserve Bank building in Kansas City, MO, was specified with a staged constant flow booster pump system intended to provide water to the upper floors of the bank based on a variable city main pressure.  Cavitation damage to the pumps was a frequent problem under specific conditions of city water pressure and other factors.  In 2008, GES Tech Group was  retained by the FR Bank to evaluate the problem and recommend solutions.  GES Tech Group also represented the bank in subsequent legal proceedings.
