In 2011-12, GES Tech Group was retained to design a containerized engine and compressor skid for offshore applications in accordance with DNV* specifications, including rigging and impact loads during a full scale drop test. A DNV certified unit must pass an actual drop test in order to be accepted under DNV criteria.

A full scale drop test is required under DNV specificaions in order to be granted certification. This test was performed with test masses to simulate the presence of the compressor components.
