High speed industrial equipment mounted on factory provided adjustable bases, and a moment frame skid, experienced severe resonant vibration amplitudes that resulted in repeated fatigue crack initiation and propagation. The process involved unbalanced forces due to the product flow through the unit. Down time for necessary repairs within a sanitary area of the plant was significant.
