In 2025 GES Tech Group was retained by a general contractor to evaluate the causes of post tensioned cable failures leading to a blowout. GES reviewed all relevant documents and evidence and performed detailed non-linear FEA modeling of the anchorage geometry. Concrete quality, a major concern, was eventually ruled out as a contributing cause. It was finally concluded that the failure was caused by specific details at the cable anchorages. The conditions that led to failure were corrected for future pours.
