Municipal Zero Entry Pool Fail

During the time frame 2021 through 2024, GES Tech Group, Inc., was retained on behalf of a contractor (plaintiff) regarding a matter associated with the installation of a zero entry pool on an existing older standard 8′ to 3′ depth municipal pool.  The zero entry addition had rotated upward in response to freeze thaw conditions, resulting in extensive cracking and significant leakage.

Disputes centered on basic design issues involving the interface of the new zero entry foundation located above the frost line with the deeper stable existing foundation.

GES assisted the plaintiff during legal proceedings and numerous exhibits were prepared for a series of formal mediations.  Presentations included videos of solid paste board demonstration models and FEA based formal reports and animations.  The case eventually settled prior to a jury trial.
